@thebrasswalnut This was a fun little project to demo how I use tape to create patterns. The checkerboard pattern has been popular in recent years as well as the always classic game of chess. I combined both here on these cube tables (these are not vintage and the veneer had major cracking going on). One cool thing about tapes are the different widths available. This width worked out perfectly for my 15" square tables. I use a piece of tape to space with too, so no measuring required between stripes. The big trick to crisp lines is to use a bit of clear poly over the tape lines before painting...it locks those edges in.
